§ 3-4.4. Violations and penalties.

    Any person under the age of 18 years who violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this section shall be, for the first offense, reprimanded in writing by the Police Department.

    Editor's Note: As to the Police Department generally, see Chapter 5.
    Such writing shall be addressed to the parents or guardian of the offender and shall state the nature of the violation. Upon a second or subsequent violation of this section, the parents or guardian of the offender shall be charged with a violation of Section 3-12 of this chapter, entitled "Parental Responsibility."

    b. 

    Any person 18 years of age or older who violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, but subject to the General Penalty established in Section 1-5 of this Code.
